Our Story

Welcome to CoSkin. We are a New Zealand family business based just North of Auckland, founded by Dr Alistair and Stephanie Lane. 

Our interest in natural products and remedies was first sparked when our son, born in 2005, reacted adversely to many household products. We replaced all the products we could with natural alternatives and our son stopped having those reactions. His skin, although not red and irritated, was still quite dry and scaly. We then started investigating plant and essential oils. We thoroughly enjoyed this process as we began to discover the vast therapeutic benefits of plants in skincare.

Around this time, we met Graeme who had developed an anhydrous (waterless) gel. We could see this would make an ideal mechanism for delivering healing products into the skin. With Alistair’s strong research science background (PhD), the anhydrous gel formulation was refined to become the basis of a new plant oil sunscreen and moisturiser. These products worked superbly for our son, which was a great relief. We began to share our products around to friends and family to try them out. We received amazing results, hence CoSkin was born.

These products have remarkable healing and health giving properties which work well over the huge range of conditions we find ourselves exposed to in modern day life. We are passionate about what we do and with new products in the pipeline, we are excited about our offerings and hope to inspire you along your journey.
